Is this worth doing in the big 2026?

Original post

Costco has been selling 1oz gold bars from a third-party Swiss dealer for a few years. The warehouser recently stepped up its precious metals game: it now sells Kirkland Signature branded 1oz silver bars (~$70), including an appropriately sized 5-pack for bulk shoppers. https://t.co/aSkeSToYZ5

Having physical gold, copper and silver is not a bad part of an allocation while bond yields are revealing that this system makes them useless. The challenge is that you still have to convert it to money or sell at some point in the future which would mean converting to an inferior asset like dollars. If you could sell it into swiss francs, that seems most optimal. Nothing is superior to the prospects of Bitcoin however given how it is able to be used as money at 4M square terminals right now.
